ID Theft Penalty
Most id thieves either get a slap on the wrist, or a token sentence of five years in prison, which will likely be reduced to 18 months for good behavior. What is a reasonable penalty given that the victim may suffer far more than five years of aggravation and sustain significant loss to both their reputation and finances?
